A guest has asked for an interpretation of the Tribulation Bible verse in Matthew in the Gospel:
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
-Matthew 24: 29-31
Guest, would you kindly first tell me what you think it means.

I was milling through some stuff that I thought was lost after my last move and I found this article I wrote back in 1995. It is pretty good stuff and really, really digs into the authority, or lack there, of the Hands of the Cause under the guardianship of Shoghi Effendi.
I hope you enjoy the read. Feel free to talk about it in the blog thread also. Here is the link to:

Messiah ben Joseph and Messiah ben David
The Bible says that there would be two Messiahs.
The definition of the word “Messiah” is: An Anointed Male Lineal Descendant of King David.
In Judaism, these two Messiahs are titled “Messiah ben David” and “Messiah ben Joseph.” Ask any Rabbi.
The first one Read the rest of this entry »

AMIT-ABHA
A guest has requested a discussion about Amit-Abha. Baha’is understand that Amit Abha is Baha’u'llah, as he wore the red robe, and as He is the 5th Manifestation of God after Gautama (Sanskrit; Pali: Gotama), Siddhartha (Sanskrit; Pali: Siddhattha). “Amit” means “Infinite” and “Abha” means “Light” or “Glory.” Baha’u'llah’s Revelation comes directly from God (the Infinite Absolute One), as it did for Jesus and Moses and Mohammed and Zoroaster and Krishna and Buddha and Adam and the Bab. We just celebrated the 12th day of Ridvan. These 12 days are in celebration of the the 12 days Baha’u'llah spent in the Garden of Roses in Baghdad culminating in His proclamation in 1863. We had a great feast, lots of Baha’is showed up, including the Guardian, Neal Chase. There were excellent readings and prayers and a sweet presentation. The food, both spiritual and physical, were delicious.
Here is a link to the Proclamation of Baha’u'llah.

I have added a category for Baha’i Faith writings. There are two works added to start with. They are Baha’u'llah’s Kitab-i-Ahd, and the Will and Testament of Abdu’l-Baha. Together, these two documents comprise the Covenant of the Baha’i Faith. You can navigate to the Baha’i Writings page from the link to your left or click on this link to access the Baha’i Faith writings new hub page.
If you would like to suggest other writings, send me an email and I’ll try to get them in the list and uploaded.

I was talking with a Christian today and she said she was celebrating Easter with her family. I asked if she was going on an Easter egg hunt. She said yes and asked If I was also?
I said I hadn’t since I was a child.
I mean why celebrate 5000 year old holiday with eggs and rabbits, which are both symbols of fertility worship and all on a day that is named after Ishtar, the pagan goddess of fertility?
I bid her a good day and pulled out my Bible to read about the resurrection. Read the rest of this entry »

Today is Naw Ruz, which is the Persian word for “New Year.” At sunset Baha’is will congregate to break their 19 day fast with a feast in celebration of the Baha’i New Year which commences on the vernal equinox on or near March 21st. Here is the Naw Ruz Prayer revealed by Baha’u'llah to be read at sunset: Read the rest of this entry »

In the firesides we learn that Angels, Cherubs, and Seraphs are spiritual stations we can attain while in this life, and not divine beings from heaven wandering among us as is commonly perceived. One time at a forum Dr. Jensen elaborated upon this when the subject came up regarding Isaiah’s reference to Seraphim.
Isaiah 6:1–3 : “… I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and His train filled the Hekhal (sanctuary). Above Him stood the Seraphim; each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.”
The notion that the wings covered the face and feet of the Seraph was puzzling this person, and they couldn’t comprehend Isaiah’s description. Doc then went on to explain that the six wings (or 3 sets) of the Seraph covering their features were symbolic of their level of knowledge and evolution within the Cause of God as harbingers of the Message. The first set covers the Seraph’s face (or eyes) meaning that he can see and understand the Revelations of God. The next covered his feet meaning that the Seraph was also capable of carrying the Message of Revelation to others. And of the 3rd set Isaiah says “and with two he flew” meaning that the Seraph’s 3rd set gave him the added ability to not just carry the Message of Revelation to others, but that he might bring it far and wide to every corner of the Earth.
Doc elaborated further saying that we know the Seraphs are the highest of the three stations of Angels that one might achieve in his lifetime on Earth, so that its fair to say that Cherubs in turn have but two sets of wings, and Angel would have one set. He concluded that the Cherubs among us had a set of wings covering their face (eyes) which meant they could see the Truth, and another< covering their feet, meaning they were capable of Teaching it as well. That would logically conclude that Angels then are those among the living that have a set of wings covering their Spiritual Eyes, or in other words they are those among us that have been granted the Blessed Gift of being able to comprehend, recognize, and understand the Revelations and Truths of our Best Beloved.
He concluded adding “So it’s really a pleasure to be sharing this evening with all you Angels, Cherubs, and Seraphs”.

First of all, since I am loyal to Jesus, I believe in the messengers that Jesus said would come. These include Muhammad and Baha’u'llah. It was Baha’u'llah who explained that there will be no conflict between true science and true religion. This makes me happy for several reasons–it will eliminate bad science and bad religion.
Bad religion includes some nut who has his followers drink poison when a comet flies overhead.
Bad science includes Darwin’s theory of evolution.
I am a high school science teacher, and I know about evolution. I know that it lacks scientific evidence, and I know there is scientific evidence against it. I refuse to teach evolution since it is wrong. There is politics and power mongering that corrupts science as well as religion. I think science comes from God as much as religion. When pressed, I would have to admit that parts of evolution are correct, but just because I can agree that the fittest of the species survive does not mean I can be fooled into the ludicrous possibility that one species can change into another. Likewise I can believe that the mother of Jesus was a virgin, but the rules of God’s creation mandate a need for sperm to have fertilized Mary’s egg. The bible tells us that this sperm came from the male line of King David-e.g. Joseph. (Would Joseph have married her were it not so?)
(See Romans 1:3)
The mistake in religion is to use the virgin birth as evidence that God is the father of Jesus which is blasphemous.
After the big war that is prophesied to come, there will be peace on earth. As prophecy is always fulfilled, as God never lies, this will come to pass despite the objections of any one. Though I do not look forward to the war, I look forward to the peace afterward and the knowledge that science and religion will not be in conflict. God gave me the gift of a brain, so can I not assume that I am to use it? I have faith in the Baha’i religion because it does not conflict with Jesus or Moses, or of Abraham, Isaac, King David, etc. In fact, there is only one religion that doesn’t disregard the promise that God gave to David in Psalm 89.
God doesn’t break His promises.

As Bush has been in Israel for the past two days for the first time in his entire two terms as president, what could be the ulterior motive for such a visit with the prospects for a U.S. strike on Iran?
President Bush visits Israel this last week in the guise of discussing peace, when in reality he went to discuss military plans with Israeli leaders for a strike against Iran. Today it is reported:
“Israel won’t accept nuke weapons in Iran”
By LAURIE COPANS, Associated Press Writer Jan. 14, 2008
JERUSALEM - Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told a powerful parliamentary panel on Monday that Israel rejects “no options” to block Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, a meeting participant said.
The statement was the Israeli leader’s clearest indication yet that he is willing to use military force against Iran.
“Israel clearly will not reconcile itself to a nuclear Iran,” the meeting participant quoted Olmert as telling the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. “All options that prevent Iran from gaining nuclear capabilities are legitimate within the context of how to grapple with this matter.”
This statement comes directly after Bush’s visit to Israel making the connection that Bush is planning with Israel for this upcoming strike. For Israel to strike Iran instead of the U.S., this would be able to be better justified in the eyes of the world as Israel defending itself and its territories instead of the U.S. taking unilateral action.
This upcoming attack will be another brick out of the wall of oppression built by the religious corrupters and detractors as this is the land from out which came the second coming of Christ, Baha’u'llah, and it is those who have corrupted His solutions to the world’s ills who will now have to taste what their Hands have wrought in these days.
